What do you do when the idea of giving up your whole life is to painful tp even imagine even when your life is pretty messed up from a lot of meth. I try to get clean but my friends always set me back. But I love them and I cant imagine living without the people I love. Especially my true love. I want to stop and so does she but we never can but neither one of us will ever live without each other.

Jim LaPierre Says...

My heart goes out to you. You feel stuck and like you're in a no win situation. You're not. I get it - you love her, love your friends, and hate meth but can't get away from it - it drags you back down.

Here's the thing - people who do meth for a long time...what happens to them?

No, really - what happens to them. They suffer, they get sick, they continue to use, and they die.

The "rule of threes" applies here - when an addict or alcoholic continues in addiction there are only three possible outcomes:-

- Jail

- Institution

- Death

There are no exceptions - if you haven't hit those, then you haven't hit them YET.

This is not me scaring or shaming you. This is the truth and it sucks.

Stephen King said it - sooner or later you either "Get busy living or get busy dying."

Choose life. It may seem romantic to you but shit, Romeo & Juliet were romantic and look what happened to those crazy kids.
