The Christian Guidance Center is the residential substance use treatment and detox program of Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, a faith-based non-profit that has served Detroit's homeless and addicted communities since 1909 and now reaches more than 1,600 men, women and children a day. Treatment for men here sits inside one of the city's largest housing providers, so recovery is connected to shelter and continuing support rather than ending at discharge. DRMM is recognized by CARF and is an IRS-recognized tax-exempt organization. Medicaid, military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted.

Admission requires enrollment in a Medicaid managed care plan.

Stays vary with each resident's needs, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months or more.

Opioid treatment is offered with methadone and buprenorphine alongside counseling, for adults including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. The health center says it accepts all insurance, naming Medicare, Medicaid (Title 19), HUSKY and Charter Oak, and its Recovery and Wellness Center holds ASAM Level I accreditation.
