Non-profit badge
A teal Non-profit badge appears on your facility card and detail page, letting families know your organisation is EIN-verified and mission-driven — not profit-motivated.
Competitor-free profile
Your facility detail page will not show the "Nearby Sponsored listings" module or advertising slots. Families who find you stay focused on your care — not on an adjacent ad for a for-profit competitor.
How to apply
- 1Claim your free listingIf your facility is already listed, use the Claim it free link on your profile page to take ownership. If it is not listed, submit a new listing.
- 2Indicate non-profit statusIn the operator dashboard, select Non-profit organisation and upload your EIN determination letter (IRS Form 1023 approval or equivalent).
- 3We verify and activateOur team reviews your EIN documentation, typically within two business days. Once confirmed, the Non-profit badge appears on your listing automatically.

Log in to your facility portal, open the profile for the relevant listing, and submit your EIN letter under Non-profit verification.

Is this free forever?
Yes. The Non-profit badge and competitor-free page are free for verified non-profit organisations as long as they remain listed on ChooseHelp. We may introduce optional paid enhancements in the future, but the core non-profit benefits will stay free.
What counts as a confirmed non-profit?
Any US-registered 501(c)(3) treatment organisation with a current IRS EIN determination letter qualifies. We do not currently verify non-profit status in other countries, though we plan to add that.
Does the badge affect my search ranking?
The badge is a trust signal for families — it does not affect your search ranking on ChooseHelp. Ranking is based on data completeness, reviews, and geographic relevance.
Can for-profit facilities get the Non-profit badge?
No. The badge is reserved for EIN-verified non-profit organisations only. Misrepresentation of non-profit status will result in badge removal and listing suspension.
