Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch provides residential treatment for children aged 5 to 17 who need psychiatric care, therapy and support to heal from trauma, and has been working with North Dakota families for more than 70 years. UPMC Chautauqua's Behavioral Health Wellness Center on Glasgow Avenue in Jamestown is part of UPMC Chautauqua, a 277-bed non-profit community hospital in southwestern New York within the UPMC health system. Its behavioral health service covers mental health care and addiction medicine across all three settings — inpatient, outpatient and residential — including inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency programs, so someone whose needs change does not have to move organizations to follow them. Being part of a general hospital also means psychiatric and addiction care sits alongside the medical specialties rather than apart from them. Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance, state funding and self-pay are all accepted.

The 60-day inpatient program covers individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and aftercare, and is licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services. It is funded through Riverside County Medi-Cal — California's Medicaid program — with private and military insurance, public assistance and a sliding scale for self-pay also accepted.
