Northpointe Council is a not-for-profit human service organization governed by a board and membership, and it runs the wider service around this one — outpatient clinics treating adolescents and adults, and a Niagara Falls methadone program with early-morning dosing hours from 6am. Medication-assisted treatment for adults includes buprenorphine and Vivitrol. The organization states that services are covered by most insurances, with sliding-scale self-pay fees for people who are not covered.

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center on Vine Street provides substance use disorder treatment for veterans at residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient levels, within the VA health system. Its residential facility works on more than the substance use itself: 24-hour care there addresses homelessness, mental health and unemployment alongside addiction, which is what distinguishes a VA domiciliary program from a standard rehab. The campus also provides mental health care, PTSD treatment, homeless veteran care, caregiver support and primary care, and works with Disabled American Veterans and county veterans affairs directors to arrange transport.
