Programs include men's and women's early recovery groups, family services, recovery coaching from certified peer coaches with their own lived experience, and a specialized track for mothers with infants. Clinical staff are licensed masters-level therapists and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselors, and the organization is accredited by CARF. Fees are based on what a client can pay, and Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance, state funding and public assistance are accepted.

The Brien Center – Keenan House is a residential recovery home for men in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, offering structured daily programming and community connection during early sobriety. It is part of The Brien Center, a Berkshire County behavioral health provider with a history spanning more than a century. The program accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.

Metcalf Recovery Ranch is a 20-bed residential substance use treatment facility for adult men, operated by VARP, Inc. at 9826 18th Avenue in Blythe. Stays run a minimum of 30 days under a California DHCS license, in a rural desert ranch setting.

Outpatient Rehab

Liberation Programs' Stamford clinic provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health conditions, including opioid use disorder. The agency began in Stamford in 1971 — Liberation House was its first site — and now runs services in Bridgeport, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford and Westport, working with adolescents, men, women and families. It says most of the people it serves are on Medicaid and that services are provided regardless of ability to pay: staff help clients obtain coverage through the Affordable Care Act, check eligibility for state and federal benefits, offer a self-pay sliding scale and, in limited circumstances, provide scholarship treatment. Scholarship beds may be available for people with opioid use disorder whose insurance will not cover inpatient care, and the organization has beds for women and children.

Alpharus Health Lake Villa is a beautiful residential addiction treatment center and long-term rehab on the shores of Fox Lake in Lake Villa, Illinois. Its operator changed its name from Gateway Foundation to Alpharus Health in August 2026.

Unity House by Caz Recovery is a residential reintegration program for homeless men in recovery, certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports. Located on Buffalo's East Side, the program serves 24 men age 18 and older, pairing counseling with support toward work, education, and independent living in a trauma-informed setting. Unity House accepts Medicare, private insurance, and military insurance.
