Liberation Programs' Stamford clinic provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health conditions, including opioid use disorder. The agency began in Stamford in 1971 — Liberation House was its first site — and now runs services in Bridgeport, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford and Westport, working with adolescents, men, women and families. It says most of the people it serves are on Medicaid and that services are provided regardless of ability to pay: staff help clients obtain coverage through the Affordable Care Act, check eligibility for state and federal benefits, offer a self-pay sliding scale and, in limited circumstances, provide scholarship treatment. Scholarship beds may be available for people with opioid use disorder whose insurance will not cover inpatient care, and the organization has beds for women and children.

Stages of Recovery provides intensive outpatient treatment in Lubbock, Texas. The program serves adults recovering from substance use disorders with structured IOP programming that includes individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, and life-skills development. Stages of Recovery accepts Medicare and private insurance. The program is designed for clients who do not require 24-hour residential care but need more support than traditional outpatient therapy provides.

Desert Cove Recovery provides residential and outpatient addiction treatment in Scottsdale, and is explicit about a limit most centers leave vague: it does not run its own detox. Its admissions team assesses whether medically supervised withdrawal is needed first and, if it is, refers to a partner facility before treatment here begins. Knowing that in advance saves a person arriving in withdrawal at a place that cannot take them.

Casa Cecilia is a six-bed residential recovery home for women in Thermal, run by the Riverside County Latino Commission, whose facilities are the only Spanish-speaking substance use facilities in Riverside County. The 60-day inpatient program covers individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and aftercare, and is licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services. It is funded through Riverside County Medi-Cal — California's Medicaid program — with private and military insurance, public assistance and a sliding scale for self-pay also accepted.

UPMC Mercy Hospital provides medically supervised detoxification as part of its behavioral health services in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As part of the UPMC health system, the program offers hospital-based withdrawal management with access to emergency and specialty medical services. UPMC Mercy accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.

It is in network with almost all commercial plans, AHCCCS, Medicare and Workers' Compensation, the last of which matters for an injury that started the whole thing.

Unhooked Recovery is a family-owned residential behavioral health facility on South Power Road in Mesa, serving adult men and women in Arizona's East Valley. It runs its own detox unit alongside residential treatment, with an intensive outpatient program built on the Matrix Model — including its Early Recovery Skills component — and housing attached to the IOP, so clients can work while continuing treatment rather than choosing between the two.
