Its Crisis Stabilization Unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and takes people who walk through the door — no appointment, no referral — providing 24-hour care for anyone aged 18 and over. At the other end of the age range its Birth to Five Program is a designated Center of Excellence. Substance use treatment sits inside that county-wide system rather than standing alone.

CARE Hawaii has provided outpatient mental health services in Hilo since 1999, for people living with mental illness, developmental delays and substance-related problems. It runs a partial hospitalization program of medically supervised therapeutic sessions focused on coping skills, crisis stabilization and medication management, with an AfterCare program for graduates of day treatment. Its Community Integration Services are a Medicaid-reimbursable service for QUEST Integration members who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and services are also open to people meeting the developmental-disability Medicaid Waiver criteria — with the Crisis Network Services Program covering those who do not qualify for the waiver. Medicaid, Medicare is accepted here, as are private and military insurance and state funding.

Milestone Recovery in north Phoenix offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, including evening and weekend scheduling, alongside sober living, with separate mental health and substance use tracks. Its stated centre of gravity is trauma: the program treats PTSD, depression, anxiety and co-occurring conditions, and offers EMDR and ketamine-assisted therapy for depression, trauma and PTSD as well as conventional psychotherapy. It is accredited by The Joint Commission. Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance and self-pay are accepted.

C.H.A.D. runs an OASAS-licensed outpatient clinic at 75 Genesee Street in Auburn, with an adult intensive outpatient program, individual and group counseling, and medication-assisted treatment using Suboxone, Sublocade, Naltrexone and Vivitrol. The agency is also Cayuga County's OASAS prevention provider, houses the Cayuga County Drug Free Community Coalition, and sends counsellors into the Cayuga County Jail to work with incarcerated people who have alcohol or drug problems. ARM Dallas (Adult Rehabilitation Ministry) is a Christ-centered residential treatment program in Dallas, Texas, offering long-term rehabilitation for people struggling with addiction, mental health disorders and dual diagnosis. The program pairs a twelve-step process with education services in parenting, life skills and anger management, plus transitional living as residents return to independent life. Its WARM program (Women's Adult Rehabilitation Ministry) serves women.

Brick House Recovery is a faith-based adult outpatient program in Idaho Falls, founded in 2014, and it is unusually specific about what a client is signing up for. Treatment runs in three named phases: Chain Breaker, six weeks combining ASAM 2.5 partial hospitalization with 2.1 enhanced intensive outpatient; Change Maker, six months at ASAM 2.1 enhanced IOP; and Hope Dealer, the aftercare phase. That is a nine-month commitment stated up front rather than an open-ended "individualized length of stay". Cenikor is a non-profit that has served Texas and New Mexico for nearly six decades, is accredited by CARF and LegitScript certified, and says its non-profit structure is what allows it to keep costs down. Medicaid is accepted, including most Texas and New Mexico plans, alongside Medicare, private and military insurance, state-funded places, and a sliding scale based on income.

Mesa Springs treats mental health and addiction in Fort Worth, beginning every admission with an assessment by a qualified mental health professional rather than a fixed intake track. Alongside its general programming it runs Help for Heroes, a named outpatient service built for military personnel, veterans and first responders — a population whose treatment needs and confidentiality concerns differ enough that a general program often does not fit.
