The Christian Guidance Center is the residential substance use treatment and detox program of Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, a faith-based non-profit that has served Detroit's homeless and addicted communities since 1909 and now reaches more than 1,600 men, women and children a day. Treatment for men here sits inside one of the city's largest housing providers, so recovery is connected to shelter and continuing support rather than ending at discharge. DRMM is recognized by CARF and is an IRS-recognized tax-exempt organization. Medicaid, military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted.

It accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, private insurance, military insurance and state-funded coverage. The operator was known as Gateway Foundation until August 2026; the name changed, this location and its programs did not.

Life Help is the Region 6 community mental health organization for the Mississippi Delta, and this is its intensive outpatient program on Highway 7 South in Greenwood — the same address as its Denton House residential program for men. It provides intensive outpatient and outpatient substance use treatment together with DUI programming, and telehealth is available. This program does not accept Medicaid or Medicare. Military insurance, self-pay and public assistance are accepted.

Founded in 1976 by Pat Stokes, it treats alcohol and drug use together with co-occurring mental health conditions. Admission is available regardless of ability to pay, with state-financed assistance, a sliding fee scale, and payment assistance.

Unity House by Caz Recovery is a residential reintegration program for homeless men in recovery, certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports. Located on Buffalo's East Side, the program serves 24 men age 18 and older, pairing counseling with support toward work, education, and independent living in a trauma-informed setting. Unity House accepts Medicare, private insurance, and military insurance.

Casa Cecilia is a six-bed residential recovery home for women in Thermal, run by the Riverside County Latino Commission, whose facilities are the only Spanish-speaking substance use facilities in Riverside County. The 60-day inpatient program covers individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and aftercare, and is licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services. It is funded through Riverside County Medi-Cal — California's Medicaid program — with private and military insurance, public assistance and a sliding scale for self-pay also accepted.
