Mental Health Centers

Apalachee Center has served the Big Bend region of Florida since 1948, and its Quincy site provides residential and outpatient treatment for substance use, psychiatric and emotional crises. Programs run for adults and, separately, for children and adolescents, and the organization holds the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance are accepted.

Blue Hills Recovery at 474 Grove Street in Worcester is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services, and runs parallel day-treatment and evening programs for substance use and for mental health so people can attend around work or family commitments. Its program list includes a dedicated LGBTQ+ mental health track for the Worcester area and integrated treatment for co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions. The center states it is in-network with UnitedHealthcare and Cigna and also works with Optum; private insurance and self-payment are accepted, and it serves Worcester along with Auburn, Boston, Grafton, Holden, Lowell, Shrewsbury, Spencer, Springfield and Westborough.

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch has cared for young people since welcoming its first child in 1957 and runs psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) on its historic Billings campus on South 72nd Street West, alongside therapeutic group homes and statewide community-based services. The Cass County community mental health authority operates as Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network from its site on M-60 East in Cassopolis, providing adult and children's mental health services alongside substance use services that are open to adolescents and adults. A toll-free access line (1-800-323-0335, TTY 711) is published for people seeking care, and the network publishes Medicaid renewal guidance for clients who must requalify annually. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted along with private insurance, military insurance and state funding, and payment assistance is available.

Stepworks Recovery Centers runs a 30-day detox and residential program in Paducah alongside short-stay withdrawal support, an intensive outpatient program of three group therapy sessions and one individual session each week, and drug-free sober living apartments for clients transitioning out of residential care.
