Alaska Mental Health Centers

Klawock Behavioral Health is operated by the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) on the Klawock-Hollis Highway and provides outpatient and intensive outpatient behavioral health care to residents of Southeast Alaska. SEARHC was established in 1975 under the provisions of the Indian Self-Determination Act and describes itself as a nonprofit health organization serving the region alongside primary, urgent, emergency and dental care. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, as are private and military insurance and state-financed care.

Mount Juneau Counseling and Recovery, run by Gastineau Human Services Corporation on Aisek Street in Juneau, operates a 32-bed low-intensity residential substance use treatment program at ASAM level 3.1 together with outpatient individual counseling and groups, so clients can move from residential care through outpatient support. The organisation also runs the Glacier Manor Community Residential Center, a correctional rehabilitation program for up to 40 people, and its clinical team includes master's-level counselors and a residential program manager. Medicare, private insurance and self-pay are accepted.
