Clinical work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, polyvagal- and somatic-informed practice, attachment theory, shame resilience work and grief work. An alumni program continues after discharge. Detox and residential services occupy separate buildings on wooded grounds with hiking trails, group therapy rooms, an auditorium, common areas and a fire pit, and an executive chef prepares the meals. BriteLife states the site is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports and accredited by the Joint Commission. Insurers named on its site include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Anthem, Optum, CDPHP and MVP. BriteLife also operates locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
