Stutzman Addiction Treatment Center is a state-operated residential addiction treatment center on Forest Avenue in Buffalo, run within the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports system. It provides residential rehabilitation for adults with substance use disorders, including people with co-occurring mental health conditions. Medicaid, private and military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted, with a sliding scale available.

East House is a Rochester, New York recovery organization supporting people with mental health and substance use disorders since 1966, now celebrating 60 years of service. Its residential programs include Cody House, a community residence providing structured recovery housing and support. East House accepts Medicare, private insurance, military coverage, state funding and self-pay.

BriteLife Recovery at Lexington is the New York campus of BriteLife Recovery, run by Windham Falls Recovery LLC at 2774 NY-42 in West Kill, in the Catskill Mountains of Greene County. New York State's Department of Health lists the entity as "Windham Falls Recovery LLC dba BriteLife Recovery at Lexington", and the older Windham Falls name is no longer used publicly. The program runs medically supervised detoxification lasting roughly five to seven days, followed by residential treatment averaging 28 days with gender-specific care, and inpatient treatment for co-occurring anxiety and depression. Clinical work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, polyvagal- and somatic-informed practice, attachment theory, shame resilience work and grief work. An alumni program continues after discharge. Detox and residential services occupy separate buildings on wooded grounds with hiking trails, group therapy rooms, an auditorium, common areas and a fire pit, and an executive chef prepares the meals. BriteLife states the site is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports and accredited by the Joint Commission. Insurers named on its site include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Anthem, Optum, CDPHP and MVP. BriteLife also operates locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

Newfane House of Hope is a residential recovery program in Newfane, New York, run by Save the Michaels of the World — a non-profit that began in June 2011 as a kitchen-table action group formed after the opioid-related death of twenty-year-old Michael David Israel, and which now works on awareness, placement into treatment and getting people to it. Alongside residential treatment, the organization helps arrange placement and provides transport, which in rural Niagara County is often the practical obstacle rather than the willingness. Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are accepted, along with self-pay.

Samaritan Daytop Village operates the Van Wyck Residential Treatment Program in Jamaica for long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation for men and women, as well as expectant mothers and women with children. The facility accepts clients on opioid medication.

Tully Hill Corp in Tully is a treatment facility and inpatient rehab for men, women, boys and girls.

THRIVE Wellness and Recovery is a not-for-profit formed in 2024 by the merger of Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions — which had been treating addiction in northern New York for fifty years — and Transitional Living Services of Northern New York, which provided residential psychiatric rehabilitation. Its Lowville site runs an intensive outpatient program for substance use alongside mental health services, part of an organization that treats children, adolescents, adults, families and caregivers. THRIVE is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports and by the Office of Mental Health, and its opioid treatment program is accredited by CARF. Payment can be made through Medicaid, Medicare, private or military insurance, or state funding.
