Mount Rogers Community Services Board – Fernwood Counseling Center

Fernwood Counseling Center is the Mount Rogers Community Services Board's site for Carroll and Grayson counties and the city of Galax, offering counseling, psychiatry and intensive outpatient care for mental health and substance use disorders, with same-day access intakes every weekday — so a person who decides to seek help on a Tuesday morning does not wait weeks for an assessment. Mount Rogers is a not-for-profit governed by a fourteen-member board and has served southwest Virginia since 1972. Uninsured or underinsured clients may be given a capped fee under its sliding scale, or can apply for financial assistance; Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are all accepted.
