About Greater Nashua Mental Health
Greater Nashua Mental Health is a nonprofit community mental health center on Amherst Street in Nashua that has served the area since it was incorporated in 1924 as the Community Council of Nashua and became a federally recognized Community Mental Health Center in 1974. It provides outpatient and intensive outpatient care for children, adolescents, adults and older adults, specializing in significant behavioral health challenges including co-occurring substance use disorders, and runs homeless outreach and services for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing in New Hampshire. Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance are accepted, a sliding fee scale is available based on family size and income, and the center states no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
