Lakes Regional Community Center is the non-profit community center for Northeast Texas, and its Sherman clinic provides intensive outpatient treatment for substance use disorders alongside counseling for teens and adults, mental health care, intellectual and developmental disability services and early childhood intervention. It was created on 1 December 1999, when nine county judges pressed for a state-operated program to be converted into a board-governed community non-profit. Texas Medicaid is accepted including the managed programs STAR, STAR Plus and STAR Kids, along with Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding — and services are never denied for inability to pay, with uninsured people eligible for a sliding fee discount based on family size and income. Interpretation services are available.

Holyoke Medical Center's Center for Behavioral Health provides mental health and substance use treatment in Holyoke, Massachusetts, with inpatient and outpatient services plus a short-term Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP) for adults managing co-occurring psychiatric and substance use conditions. Founded by CEO Lisa Waknin and operating for nearly a decade, the program is Joint Commission-accredited (Gold Seal of Approval) and also holds NARM and NAATP accreditation. Silver Sands specializes in dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and trauma alongside substance use disorders. Its compassion-based, whole-person approach integrates outdoor and holistic therapies — hiking, nature outings, sports therapy, and golf — into individualized treatment plans.

Centerstone of Illinois is part of Centerstone, a nonprofit health system providing mental health and addiction treatment for adults, children, families, veterans and military service members. Its Alton location offers intensive outpatient and outpatient care within a system that also provides residential and inpatient services. Centerstone accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.

Glenbeigh is a Joint Commission-accredited alcohol and drug treatment provider whose Erie, Pennsylvania outpatient center offers intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment. Founded in 1981, Glenbeigh has helped more than 50,000 individuals and families, and also offers specialized programs for first responders, helping professionals, older adults and executives. The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, state funding and self-pay.

The Montrose Center, Houston's LGBTQ community center, has provided behavioral health and substance use treatment since opening in 1978. The center offers intensive outpatient and outpatient services and accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and a sliding fee scale.

Choices is Riverbend Community Mental Health's substance use program at 42 Pleasant Street in Concord, New Hampshire. Riverbend is a non-profit community mental health center serving the Concord area, with psychiatric emergency services alongside its outpatient programs.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley provides outpatient substance use and mental health treatment in Camden, New Jersey. The program serves adults involved in the criminal justice system with individual counseling, group therapy, case management, and reentry support. VOADV accepts Medicare, private insurance, military insurance, and offers a sliding fee scale.

Vinland National Center provides substance use disorder treatment in Minneapolis, Minnesota, specializing in serving individuals with co-occurring cognitive impairments including traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, and mental health challenges. Founded in 1990 as the first U.S. center to design addiction treatment for people with brain injuries, Vinland offers outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, problem gambling treatment, and supportive housing.
