Metrocare's South Lancaster Road clinic in southern Dallas provides outpatient and intensive outpatient care for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, and — unlike Metrocare's other Dallas sites in this directory — it runs an opioid treatment program with outpatient withdrawal management, meaning methadone or buprenorphine can be started and maintained here rather than referred elsewhere. Metrocare has served Dallas County for over fifty years and is the largest provider of mental health services in North Texas, reaching more than 55,000 people a year; its substance use programs are person-centered and trauma-informed. Accepted coverage includes Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Magellan, Scott & White, TRICARE through Humana and UnitedHealthcare, along with Medicare, military insurance and state funding.
