Mixed Addiction/ Mental Health Counseling Services

"Higher Ground Services" in Brewer is an outpatient addiction counseling service founded by veteran therapist and frequent ChooseHelp contributor Jim LaPierre . High-Ground provides a mix of addiction and mental health services and accepts clients on opioid medication.

The Cass County community mental health authority operates as Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network from its site on M-60 East in Cassopolis, providing adult and children's mental health services alongside substance use services that are open to adolescents and adults. A toll-free access line (1-800-323-0335, TTY 711) is published for people seeking care, and the network publishes Medicaid renewal guidance for clients who must requalify annually. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted along with private insurance, military insurance and state funding, and payment assistance is available.
