Hillside Children's Center provides residential treatment, education and community-based services for young people and families who have experienced trauma, from its Monroe Campus in Rochester — a 101-bed site. The agency was founded in 1837 as the Rochester Orphan Asylum and describes itself as one of the oldest non-profit family and youth human-services organizations in the United States. Its approach is family-driven, youth-guided, trauma-informed and culturally competent. Medicare is accepted.

Villa of Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Rochester offering residential treatment for chemical dependency, mental health and behavioral health concerns, including recovery from trauma. It works to the Sanctuary Model — a whole-organization approach to recovery from adversity — and in 2017 became formally Sanctuary Certified by the Andrus Sanctuary Institute, which is a commitment about how staff behave, not just what therapy is offered. Counseling in its behavioral health clinic starts from age five, and residential care is paired with a day school, care coordination and workforce development. Sundram Manor is a men's reintegration program operated by Caz Recovery (Cazenovia Recovery Systems) near downtown Niagara Falls, New York. Certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), the program serves up to 17 men in recovery, with onsite individual and group counseling and support for residents pursuing work, education, or volunteer goals. Sundram Manor accepts private insurance, Medicare, and military insurance (TRICARE).

Casa Di Vita is a residential reintegration program for women age 18 and older on Buffalo's West Side, operated by Cazenovia Recovery Systems. Certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, it serves 19 women with trauma-informed care, individual and group counseling, and support toward work, volunteer and education goals. Stays vary with each resident's needs, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months or more.
