About Fairview Recovery Services Inc

Fairview Recovery Services is a private non-profit provider in Binghamton and the only licensed provider of long-term residential substance use disorder treatment in Broome County. It began in 1970, when the Fairview Inn — a Victorian house above the Susquehanna Valley — opened to three people affected by alcoholism, and it now runs New York State Part 820 stabilization and reintegration programs licensed by the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, including a residential reintegration program for women over 18. Alongside residential care it provides medication-assisted treatment, mental health services, vocational counseling, recreation therapy, case management, peer support and a continuum of housing programs. The program takes Medicaid and Medicare alongside private and military insurance and state funding.

More about Fairview Recovery Services Inc

Fairview is organized as a continuum rather than a single residence: stabilization services for people in early withdrawal and early recovery, reintegration programs that follow, and a range of housing options matched to how far along a person is. Women over 18 who need residential care in early recovery have a dedicated Residential Reintegration program. Because barriers to employment are treated as part of the clinical picture, vocational counseling is offered to men and women in the residential programs, alongside recreation therapy and peer support.
