Advertising Policy
Last updated: May 2026
The following guidelines govern all paid and sponsored placements on ChooseHelp.com. All advertising is subject to approval and may be rejected at our sole discretion. For advertising enquiries, email info@choosehelp.com.
1. Listing Tiers
ChooseHelp.com operates a three-tier directory placement model:
- Premium listings — enhanced profile pages, priority placement in search results and state pages, additional media and content fields.
- Featured listings — elevated card treatment within category and state listings.
- Standard (complimentary) listings — basic directory entry at no cost, editorially reviewed.
All paid placements are clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Featured”. Paid placement does not influence editorial content or clinical assessments.
2. Eligibility
The following are not accepted as advertisers or listing holders:
- Unlicensed or unaccredited treatment facilities
- Non-licensed medical professionals offering clinical services
- Drug or alcohol promotional products
- Pharmaceutical companies advertising prescription medications
- Any entity banned by applicable law from advertising addiction treatment services
All listing applicants are reviewed for state licensure and relevant accreditation (CARF, The Joint Commission, SAMHSA certification) before approval.
3. Content Standards
- Ads and listing content must not contain vulgar, derogatory, or offensive material.
- Sponsored content must be clearly distinguishable from organic editorial content. Native ad placements are labelled “From our sponsors” or “Advertisement”.
- Audio in ads must be user-initiated with a clear on/off control.
- Expandable ads must be user-initiated.
- All ad clicks must open in a new browser tab.
4. Banner Advertising

- Half Page (300×600)

Not accepted
- Pop-up or pop-under ads

5. Editorial Independence
All editorial content — articles, Q&A responses, facility descriptions — is written independently of advertising relationships. We do not accept paid advertorials or sponsored editorial articles. Advertisers have no influence over editorial coverage of their facilities or any topic.
6. Google Ads
ChooseHelp.com hosts Google-served advertisements. We do not control the content of Google ads displayed on the site; Google's own advertising policies govern those placements.
7. Reservation of Rights
ChooseHelp.com reserves the right to refuse, remove, or modify any ad or listing it deems inappropriate, non-compliant, or inconsistent with our editorial values. Advertisers are solely responsible for ensuring their ads comply with applicable law, including FTC guidelines on addiction treatment advertising.
