Bear River Health runs withdrawal management, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient care across northern Michigan, with gender-separated campuses — men at Walloon Lake and Boyne Falls, women at Gaylord — and an admissions center at Boyne Falls. Medical staff are on site 24 hours and work to SAMHSA evidence-based protocols, and the program is accredited by The Joint Commission. Its medication-assisted treatment covers all FDA-approved medications except methadone, which is worth knowing before applying if methadone is what you are stabilized on. Michigan Medicaid is accepted from specific counties and regions, with navigators who help clients apply; people who do not qualify can self-pay or be assessed for income-based payment. Regional Health Systems' East Chicago site on Indianapolis Boulevard is the residential end of its service: medically supervised detoxification and residential substance use treatment, with intensive outpatient programming alongside. Regional Health Systems is a non-profit community mental health center and federally qualified health center serving northwest Indiana, so addiction treatment here sits beside primary care, and it offers a sliding fee scale for uninsured patients. Wrap-around addiction services cover adults including pregnant women and women with children, Vivitrol and Suboxone are available, bilingual Spanish-speaking staff are on site, and interpretation is available in more than 240 further languages. LRADAC, the Behavioral Health Center of the Midlands, is a non-profit providing withdrawal management, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care for Lexington and Richland counties from its Columbia site. LRADAC is an accredited provider and treats co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use. It accepts most forms of insurance including Medicaid and Medicare, and says openly that it does charge fees while committing to help clients get the support they need; military insurance, public assistance and self-pay are also taken.

Gallus Detox provides medically supervised detox in Arizona using IV as well as oral medication to manage withdrawal, which allows dosing to be titrated to the patient rather than fixed to a schedule. Care is staffed around the clock and the protocols are the operator's own, developed in-house rather than adopted wholesale — a claim worth weighing, but a specific one.

Alpharus Health – Chicago Independence provides residential and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment on West Taylor Street in Chicago, part of a network founded in 1968. The location offers medically supervised withdrawal management, intensive outpatient and standard outpatient programming, and a recovery home. It accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, private insurance, military insurance and state-funded coverage. The operator was known as Gateway Foundation until August 2026; the name changed, this location and its programs did not.

Samaritas is a Michigan social services non-profit with more than ninety years of history, and its Holland site on Van Ommen Drive provides intensive outpatient substance use treatment. Its behavioral health work is trauma-informed and integrated — counseling and crisis support alongside addiction treatment — and sits within an organization that also places more foster children and completes more domestic adoptions than any other non-profit in the state. Samaritas describes its work as serving people as an expression of the love of Christ, which is worth knowing if that framing matters to you either way. The program takes Medicaid, Medicare and private or military insurance.

Cenikor's Irving campus offers withdrawal management, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care for adults with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. Cenikor is a non-profit that has served Texas and New Mexico for nearly six decades, is accredited by CARF and LegitScript certified, and says its non-profit structure is what allows it to keep costs down. Medicaid is accepted, including most Texas and New Mexico plans, alongside Medicare, private and military insurance, state-funded places, and a sliding scale based on income.
