Endeavor Health Services is a private, not-for-profit behavioral health provider that has served Western New York since 1972. Its Cheektowaga location offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Endeavor accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, military and state-funded coverage, and offers a sliding fee scale.

Treatment Center·Opioid Treatment Program

Conifer Park has treated addiction in New York since 1983 and is one of the state's longest-established addiction medicine providers. Its inpatient campus on Glenridge Road in Glenville holds 225 licensed beds on wooded grounds, running medically supervised detox, residential treatment and psychiatric care, with individual care plans, group and individual therapy and holistic therapies. Around it sits a network of outpatient clinics across the Capital Region, including an intensive outpatient program, dual-diagnosis outpatient care and professional medication-assisted treatment in Troy — so someone can step down from the inpatient campus without changing provider. Conifer Park is an employee-owned organization, licensed by New York State OASAS and holding two active Joint Commission accreditations. New York Medicaid is accepted along with Medicare, most commercial plans, military insurance, state funding and self-pay, and benefits are confirmed before admission.

The Lower Eastside Service Center (LESC) provides residential and outpatient addiction treatment in New York City, serving New Yorkers since 1959. Programs include Su Casa residential treatment, outpatient opioid recovery with medication-assisted treatment, and supportive housing in Manhattan and the Bronx. It accepts Medicaid and Medicare.

Camelot of Staten Island runs a 45-bed intensive residential program for men with substance use disorders on the Sea View Hospital campus, opened in 2012. It is operated by Camelot Counseling, a 501(c)(3) non-profit licensed by the State of New York that has worked on Staten Island since 1971, when a group of local business people from the North Shore Kiwanis Club opened a storefront program for troubled young people. Camelot opened the island's first 25-bed substance use residential facility in 1992, and now also provides counseling for adults, adolescents, children and families, with adult outpatient services for men and women. Medicaid, private and military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted, with a sliding scale.

"Starting Point" is a Harlem-based SAMHSA-Certified opioid treatment program run by START Treatment and Recovery Centers, that offers medical detoxification and outpatient methadone and buprenorphine services.

Arms Acres is a Carmel Hamlet, New York rehab offering inpatient addiction treatment and medically supervised drug and alcohol detox for adults facing substance use disorder. Its equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions pair licensed therapists with horse professionals. Psychiatric care addresses co-occurring mental health conditions, while medication-assisted therapy eases cravings and withdrawal under medical supervision when clinically appropriate. Certified recovery coaches help patients identify triggers, apply treatment skills daily, and connect with community support. Founded in 1982, the 191-bed facility sits on 54 acres in Putnam County and accepts Medicaid, private insurance and self-pay.

First Step Center is Northpointe Council's residential withdrawal and stabilization program in Niagara Falls: 24 beds in all, seven of them medically supervised withdrawal beds and seventeen stabilization beds, staffed around the clock by nurses and counselors and offering both medical and non-medical detoxification. Northpointe Council is a not-for-profit human service organization governed by a board and membership, and it runs the wider service around this one — outpatient clinics treating adolescents and adults, and a Niagara Falls methadone program with early-morning dosing hours from 6am. Medication-assisted treatment for adults includes buprenorphine and Vivitrol. The organization states that services are covered by most insurances, with sliding-scale self-pay fees for people who are not covered.
