The Chemical Abuse Services Agency (CASA) is a private non-profit community behavioral health organization that has worked in Bridgeport since 1987 and now also serves New Haven. Its supportive residential recovery runs as 90-day transitional programs for men aged 18 and over — two houses, one of ten beds and one of fourteen, both with 24-hour support — alongside withdrawal management, intensive outpatient and outpatient care, with longer stays sometimes available through the PILOTS program. CASA describes its care as culturally responsive, shaped around the Latino, African-American and LGBTQ+ communities it serves, and aimed at the trauma, shame and isolation underneath the substance use. Medicaid coverage is accepted, some cases individually evaluated, along with Medicare, private and military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay.

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program runs a six-bed, gender-inclusive residential mental health home on Mine Hill Road in Fairfield, Connecticut, for adolescents aged 11 to 17. It treats anxiety, depression and trauma using cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, and its small size means a household rather than a ward. Care is described as culturally responsive and respectful of a diverse community, and RNP depends partly on community donations to deliver it. The program takes Medicare and private insurance, and state funding is available.

Center for Discovery Fairfield provides residential eating disorder treatment for women and non-binary adults aged 18 and over, and has done so since opening in 2015, taking clients from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Treatment follows the center's CARE-CFD model, which combines trauma-focused nutrition therapy, collaboration between the patient and the care team, attention to the whole body including the nervous system, and an explicitly weight-inclusive stance. Co-occurring conditions are treated alongside the eating disorder, and there is a dedicated pathway for veterans. The program is in-network with major insurers including Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Optum, Cigna and TRICARE East, and private and military insurance are accepted.
