Serenity House in Fredericksburg is a beautiful treatment center nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The residential treatment program at the Fredericksburg treatment center accommodates 32 patients.

Center for Discovery's Addison site opened in May 2016 and treats eating disorders and co-occurring conditions with treatment plans customized per patient rather than run to a fixed program. Clinicians across the organization are trained in EMDR, trust-based relational intervention and motivational interviewing, and the site sits within a national network, so a patient who needs a different level of care or a different location can usually stay inside it.

Care Star Recovery and Wellness runs outpatient mental health and addiction treatment on an integrated model, with therapy, psychiatry and medication management under one roof rather than referred out to separate providers. Its partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and standard outpatient tracks are scheduled around work and family commitments, and the practice is in network with commercial insurers — its stated reason being to keep the cost barrier low enough that people start.

Sage Recovery and Wellness Center's Westlake Center at 7004 Bee Caves Road in Austin houses its intensive outpatient program and outpatient therapy, using CBT, DBT, ACT and group work for substance use, mental health conditions and co-occurring diagnoses. The wider organization also runs The Recovery Villa, a 15-bed residential and partial hospitalisation setting on a 24-acre countryside estate with private-room options, and a separate adolescent care program, so clients can step down into the Westlake outpatient program after residential treatment. Private insurance, military insurance and self-payment are accepted.

Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Amarillo provides partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient behavioral health care for adolescents, adults, older adults, service members and first responders, treating mental health conditions alongside co-occurring substance use. Oceans runs a dedicated STAR military program and a track for first responders built around service-related stress, trauma and professional identity, and offers a virtual outpatient program for people who cannot attend in person. Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, VA benefits, private insurance and self-pay are accepted.

Life Challenge of Amarillo is a faith-based residential recovery program on Hope Road in Amarillo, part of the Adult & Teen Challenge network. It provides long-term residential care for adults, young adults and seniors, and runs Revivify Coffee — a social enterprise that has been importing and roasting arabica beans since 2018 and now supplies stores across the area and a mobile coffee shop, giving residents work and training as part of recovery. The program operates on a self-pay basis, and HIV testing is available.

Homeward Bound, Inc. is a nonprofit substance use and mental health treatment agency founded in 1980 that has helped more than 250,000 people move toward sobriety across 19 counties in North Texas and six in Far West Texas. This Dallas location offers medically monitored detoxification, residential treatment and outpatient therapy, with services available in English and Spanish.

Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse (BVCASA) provides intensive outpatient treatment in Bryan, Texas. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, BVCASA serves Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties with a continuum of prevention, intervention, and outpatient services. The program also operates an adult transitional treatment center for those in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Substance Abuse Treatment Program. BVCASA accepts Medicare and military insurance.

MHMR of Tarrant County (My Health My Resources) operates the Pine Street Residential program and Billy Gregory Detox at its East El Paso Street campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The programs provide withdrawal management and residential substance use treatment within the county's public behavioral health system.

Founded in 1963, Lifetime Recovery is a non-profit residential program on Southton Road in San Antonio which says it is the largest non-profit residential substance use treatment facility in Bexar and surrounding counties. The residential track runs 45 to 90 days on a recently renovated campus, with Spanish-language counseling offered to remove language barriers, veteran services for people who are not eligible for VA benefits, and alumni who return to lead AA and NA meetings for current clients. Medicaid and private pay are accepted, Aetna and Cigna plans are listed, and the organization says financial assistance is available for people who could not otherwise afford treatment.

Cenikor's Irving campus offers withdrawal management, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care for adults with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. Cenikor is a non-profit that has served Texas and New Mexico for nearly six decades, is accredited by CARF and LegitScript certified, and says its non-profit structure is what allows it to keep costs down. Medicaid is accepted, including most Texas and New Mexico plans, alongside Medicare, private and military insurance, state-funded places, and a sliding scale based on income.

PermiaCare Turning Point is a residential substance use treatment program in Odessa, Texas, operated by PermiaCare, the region's community behavioral health center. The program provides residential care for adults with drug and alcohol use disorders alongside PermiaCare's broader mental health and crisis services.
