Admission begins with a free one-hour screening available 24/7, and the organization also runs youth prevention programs in the Wichita Falls area.

Stages of Recovery provides intensive outpatient treatment in Lubbock, Texas. The program serves adults recovering from substance use disorders with structured IOP programming that includes individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, and life-skills development. Stages of Recovery accepts Medicare and private insurance. The program is designed for clients who do not require 24-hour residential care but need more support than traditional outpatient therapy provides.

Care Star Recovery and Wellness runs outpatient mental health and addiction treatment on an integrated model, with therapy, psychiatry and medication management under one roof rather than referred out to separate providers. Its partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and standard outpatient tracks are scheduled around work and family commitments, and the practice is in network with commercial insurers — its stated reason being to keep the cost barrier low enough that people start.

Discovery Point Retreat's Dallas outpatient center at 4306 Capitol Avenue is the outpatient arm of a Texas operator that also runs inpatient facilities in Waxahachie and Ennis, and it is accredited by The Joint Commission for behavioral health care. The center provides flexible outpatient addiction treatment including intensive outpatient care, medication-assisted treatment and aftercare support, treats substance use and mental health together as a dual-diagnosis program, and runs separate treatment tracks for men and women. Private insurance, military insurance and self-payment are accepted, and the operator's accepted-insurance list includes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsych and Optum.

ADACCV is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit whose work in San Angelo goes back to a council founded in 1960 and a detoxification center opened in 1978; along the way it absorbed the Women and Children's Halfway House, reopened in 1997 and renamed Sara's House in 2001, which is why family-inclusive residential care is part of what it offers rather than an add-on. The organization is licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for outpatient and intensive residential services and accredited by CARF. Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Amarillo provides partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient behavioral health care for adolescents, adults, older adults, service members and first responders, treating mental health conditions alongside co-occurring substance use. Oceans runs a dedicated STAR military program and a track for first responders built around service-related stress, trauma and professional identity, and offers a virtual outpatient program for people who cannot attend in person. The program provides residential care for adults with drug and alcohol use disorders alongside PermiaCare's broader mental health and crisis services.

Homeward Bound, Inc. is a nonprofit substance use and mental health treatment agency founded in 1980 that has helped more than 250,000 people move toward sobriety across 19 counties in North Texas and six in Far West Texas. This Dallas location offers medically monitored detoxification, residential treatment and outpatient therapy, with services available in English and Spanish.

Volunteers of America Texas runs the Riverside Treatment Center on South Riverside Drive in Fort Worth, providing long-term residential substance use treatment with intensive outpatient care and sober-living support. Volunteers of America has worked in the United States since 1896 and is designated tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3); in Texas its wider work includes 41 housing sites for seniors and people with disabilities, rapid re-housing and reintegration programs for homeless veterans, community re-entry services for people leaving prison, and addiction treatment for women including those who are pregnant or have children. Medicaid, private and military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted.

Founded in 1963, Lifetime Recovery is a non-profit residential program on Southton Road in San Antonio which says it is the largest non-profit residential substance use treatment facility in Bexar and surrounding counties. The residential track runs 45 to 90 days on a recently renovated campus, with Spanish-language counseling offered to remove language barriers, veteran services for people who are not eligible for VA benefits, and alumni who return to lead AA and NA meetings for current clients. Medicaid and private pay are accepted, Aetna and Cigna plans are listed, and the organization says financial assistance is available for people who could not otherwise afford treatment.
