Rhode Island Treatment Centers

The Galilee Mission has provided recovery services in southern Rhode Island since 1984 and is a non-profit serving Washington County and the surrounding area. It runs two residential houses at different levels of care: Brett's Place in Wakefield is a 14-bed high-intensity residential facility at ASAM level 3.5, focused on post-crisis care for people who have just come through a detox or a crisis; Galilee House, in the seaside town of Narragansett, is a 16-bed ASAM 3.1 house for people who need residential structure at lower clinical intensity. Outpatient and intensive outpatient services and mental health counseling run alongside them, so the step down happens inside the same organization. The program takes Medicare alongside private and military insurance and state funding.

Zinnia Health Exeter is located in a quiet, relaxing setting in southern Rhode Island, and offers inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment for adults. We have a passion for helping individuals and their families conquer their substance use and secondary mental health disorders. Most insurance plans are accepted, including commercial and Rhode Island Medicaid policies. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available to those who need it.

Butler Hospital in Providence operates an opioid treatment program and outpatient rehab that provides inpatient detoxification. They are listed as a SAMHSA-Certified Opioid Treatment Program.

The Providence Center - Roads to Recovery is a treatment center for adolescents and adults. We are based in Providence, Rhode Island. Our focus is on residential addiction treatment and we further specialize in the provision of an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and a day treatment program (PHP).

AdCare Rhode Island is a drug and alcohol rehab for adults which accepts clients on opioid medication. We are based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Our focus is on the treatment of co-occuring disorders treatment and we further specialize in the provision of an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and medical detoxification.

SSTAR of Rhode Island has provided substance use and behavioral health treatment since 1977 from its Cranston campus. Services include acute treatment services (detox), clinical stabilization, residential treatment, an intensive outpatient program and medication-assisted treatment including methadone, along with a women's center and family healthcare. It accepts Medicare, private insurance and military insurance.

Community Care Alliance is a non-profit human services agency serving Rhode Island from Woonsocket and Johnston, running more than 50 programs for people facing mental health and addiction problems, housing instability, trauma and unmet basic needs. Residential substance use treatment sits alongside mental health care, employment support and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, and the agency also administers practical help such as LIHEAP energy assistance and has a dedicated veteran coordinator. Medicaid — including managed Medicaid — is accepted, along with Medicare, private and military insurance and self-pay; people with Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield or TRICARE are asked to call ahead for an appointment.
