Spectrum Health Systems is a non-profit provider of evidence-based treatment for substance use and mental health conditions across Massachusetts. Its Central Admissions Building is open 24 hours a day as a single point of entry to every level of care it runs — inpatient detox, clinical stabilization, residential treatment and outpatient — so someone deciding at three in the morning has one number to call rather than a referral chain. Spectrum states that no one will be denied access to services because they cannot pay, and operates a sliding fee schedule based on family size and income.
