Outpatient Methadone/ Buprenorphine Opioid Treatment Programs

State Line Treatment Services has treated clients in Hamilton, Ohio since July 2013, providing outpatient and intensive outpatient addiction care for southwest Ohio. It is a medication-assisted treatment clinic first: Suboxone, Subutex and methadone are all dispensed here, which matters because many clinics offer buprenorphine but not methadone. Substance use assessments, individual counseling and groups run alongside the medication. The program takes Medicare and military insurance.

Connecticut Counseling Centers is a not-for-profit providing licensed outpatient substance use and mental health treatment for adults, and this is its Norwalk site. Medication-assisted treatment here covers all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder — methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone — delivered with medical, nursing, psychiatric and counseling support, and the organization has been expanding methadone access through a new opioid treatment program. Intensive outpatient programs run for substance use, mental health and co-occurring conditions, with gender-specific groups available, and bilingual staff serve Spanish-speaking clients. The organization is CARF-accredited, licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and funded in part by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance are accepted.
