About DISC Village Inc

DISC Village is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) behavioral health provider that has worked in north Florida since 1971, when it was founded in partnership with Florida State University to run drug information services in Tallahassee. A year later it opened one of the state's first residential therapeutic communities for adolescents with substance use problems. Today its Serenity Way site provides residential treatment alongside youth services, criminal justice programs, family services and medication-assisted treatment, serving Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla counties. It is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and accredited by CARF. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on household income, DISC Village is an in-network Medicaid provider, and Medicare and private insurance are also accepted.
