Our Hope Association is a non-profit women's residential addiction treatment center in Grand Rapids that has worked with women for more than fifty years, since 1972. Its signature program is a 90-day long-term residential stay, and it gives priority to pregnant women and to mothers of minor children. Medicaid is accepted through Community Mental Health partners — a woman with Medicaid should contact her local CMH for approval before admission — and Kent County residents who are uninsured, on Medicaid or on the Kent Health Plan may qualify for financial assistance. Cigna, Medicare and state funding are also accepted.

Enlightened Recovery provides substance use treatment in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with detoxification and residential programming designed to work together. The program addresses substance dependence alongside co-occurring mental health concerns, and accepts Medicare and private insurance.

Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) is a nonprofit, non-denominational 501(c)(3) substance use disorder treatment provider serving Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Its Marquette location at 241 Wright Street offers residential treatment, outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment and medical services, with dedicated programs for veterans and children/adolescents. GLRC welcomes self-referrals and provides services regardless of ability to pay.

The Christian Guidance Center is the residential substance use treatment and detox program of Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, a faith-based non-profit that has served Detroit's homeless and addicted communities since 1909 and now reaches more than 1,600 men, women and children a day. Treatment for men here sits inside one of the city's largest housing providers, so recovery is connected to shelter and continuing support rather than ending at discharge. DRMM is recognized by CARF and is an IRS-recognized tax-exempt organization. Medicaid, military insurance, state funding, public assistance and self-pay are accepted.

Great Lakes Recovery Centers' Adolescent Services Center is a residential substance use treatment facility for youth in Negaunee, Michigan. The CARF-accredited nonprofit provides on-site schooling and trauma-informed therapy, with admissions handled through GLRC's Access Center.

Addiction Treatment Services is a Traverse City non-profit whose 1010 South Garfield Avenue site provides walk-in access, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment and a health clinic for women, while its men's residential program runs at Dakoske Hall nearby. The organization says admissions to its women's residential program are paused while it consolidates into a single new treatment facility, and it continues withdrawal management, recovery housing, rural outreach, virtual groups and family support alongside case management and individual therapy. Medicaid and Medicare are both recorded as accepted here, together with private and military insurance and self-pay.

Serenity Hills is Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center's residential campus in Berrien Center, Michigan. Sacred Heart is a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization whose work in the state dates to 1967, and the CARF-accredited campus offers residential treatment, withdrawal management, medication-assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone, and outpatient care including telehealth. A women's continuum runs alongside the general programs, with places for women who need to bring their children into treatment with them. Treatment may be covered by Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance or regional funding, and self-pay is accepted.

Bear River Health runs withdrawal management, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient care across northern Michigan, with gender-separated campuses — men at Walloon Lake and Boyne Falls, women at Gaylord — and an admissions center at Boyne Falls. Medical staff are on site 24 hours and work to SAMHSA evidence-based protocols, and the program is accredited by The Joint Commission. Its medication-assisted treatment covers all FDA-approved medications except methadone, which is worth knowing before applying if methadone is what you are stabilized on. Michigan Medicaid is accepted from specific counties and regions, with navigators who help clients apply; people who do not qualify can self-pay or be assessed for income-based payment. Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are also accepted.

Guiding Light is a faith-based, nonprofit addiction recovery program in Grand Rapids, Michigan, serving men and women since 1929 with residential recovery, sober living, and job-placement support. Separate men's and women's recovery programs focus on community, structure, and peer support to help participants return to work and stable housing. All services are provided free of charge.

KPEP (Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program) provides residential and non-residential reentry services for adult offenders as a community-based alternative to incarceration in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The program partners with law enforcement, corrections, the Bureau of Prisons, and circuit courts to offer transitional housing, work release, and cognitive behavioral therapy in a structured environment focused on accountability and personal responsibility.
