Private and military insurance are accepted, and coverage is verified with the admissions team before a place is offered.

Inland Valley Recovery Services has worked in San Bernardino County since 1962 and has grown into a full continuum rather than a single program: detoxification, residential and outpatient treatment, aftercare, education, and individual and group counseling, so someone can move between levels without leaving the organization. It is certified by California's Department of Health Care Services.

Sacramento Recovery House in Sacramento, California provides residential substance use treatment for adults. The program offers structured sober living with individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, and aftercare planning. The facility accepts Medi-Cal and private insurance.

Serenity Cottages of the Desert is a men's residential addiction treatment center near Baker, California, deep in the Mojave Desert and a long way from anywhere — which is the point of the setting. Medical detox is the first stage, with medication-assisted treatment available, and the program combines conventional therapy with yoga, meditation and art therapy. Casa Cecilia is a six-bed residential recovery home for women in Thermal, run by the Riverside County Latino Commission, whose facilities are the only Spanish-speaking substance use facilities in Riverside County. The 60-day inpatient program covers individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and aftercare, and is licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services. It is funded through Riverside County Medi-Cal — California's Medicaid program — with private and military insurance, public assistance and a sliding scale for self-pay also accepted.

Metcalf Recovery Ranch is a 20-bed residential substance use treatment facility for adult men, operated by VARP, Inc. at 9826 18th Avenue in Blythe. Stays run a minimum of 30 days under a California DHCS license, in a rural desert ranch setting.

Buddy's Ranch provides residential drug and alcohol treatment in Yuba City, California, with separate men's and women's homes each housing six beds. The program offers medically supervised detox, inpatient rehab, intensive outpatient, and telehealth services, with stays typically lasting 30 to 180 days. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Buddy's Ranch accepts private insurance, TRICARE, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Magellan, and ComPsych, and does not accept Medicaid.

Veterans Alcoholic Rehabilitation Program (VARP) is a San Bernardino, California addiction treatment provider founded in 1979 to serve veterans and now open to adults with or without military service. Its residential program, Gibson House, offers 30- to 90-day stays, alongside medically supervised withdrawal management, outpatient services, sober living, and medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. VARP accepts Medicare and military insurance.
