Newport Institute's Temecula program provides gender-specific residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment exclusively for young adults aged 18 to 35, in a private, home-like setting. Founded in 2011, the nationwide organization treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use and eating disorders, working on the underlying childhood trauma behind depression and anxiety with modalities including CBT, EMDR, attachment-based family therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. It is accredited by The Joint Commission, publishes outcomes data and offers telehealth. Private and military insurance are accepted, and the admissions team verifies coverage before a place is offered.

Newport Academy in Orange County, California provides residential mental health and substance use treatment for adolescents ages 12–20. Founded in 2008, the program integrates clinical therapy with academic support so teens can continue their education during treatment. Treatment addresses depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use through individual, family, and group therapy. Newport Academy accepts Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and several private insurance plans.

This is the teen substance use service of the Riverside Latino Commission on Drugs & Alcohol, at 1612 First Street in Coachella, California. It treats adolescents on an outpatient basis, so a young person keeps living at home and attending school while they are in the program, and it serves families across the Coachella Valley. Care starts with a psychological and medical assessment. What follows draws on substance education, coping-skills training, work on managing emotions and on communication, individual counseling and family counseling, with group discussion sessions tied to the educational classes. The program ends with relapse-prevention work and an aftercare plan. The site is licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services under provider number 330037DN, certified through 28 February 2027. It does not provide opioid-specific treatment such as methadone or buprenorphine, and it is not a residential program — the same organization runs residential recovery homes for adults and an outpatient mental health clinic at other addresses in the valley.
