Valle del Sol has delivered medical and mental healthcare in Phoenix since 1970, founded by civil rights activists on the position that access to care is a matter of equity rather than charity. More than fifty years on, culturally centered care is still how the organization describes its own method, and it offers financial help alongside the coverage it accepts — the two together being what makes it reachable for the communities it was set up to serve.
