GAAMHA Inc

GAAMHA is a Massachusetts human services organization founded in 1967 and headquartered in Gardner, serving more than 13,000 people a year across dozens of communities. Its residential recovery services go back to 1972 and are co-occurring enhanced — built for people carrying a mental health condition alongside the substance use. Dahl House is a men's co-occurring enhanced residential recovery home set on a 115-acre equestrian estate; a women's home in Athol includes four beds designated specifically for pregnant and postpartum women. Beyond residential care, GAAMHA runs transitional and permanent sober supportive housing, person-centered and trauma-informed clinical treatment, and case management and social systems navigation — and it operates its own transportation service, which in north-central Massachusetts is often what makes attending treatment possible at all. State funding and military insurance are accepted.
