About Desert Visions Youth Wellness Center
Desert Visions Youth Wellness Center is a 24-bed residential treatment facility on the Gila River Indian Community in Sacaton, Arizona, owned and operated by the Indian Health Service. It serves Native American youth ages 12 to 18 through a multidisciplinary program combining bio-psychosocial treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the White Bison curriculum for substance use recovery.
Programming integrates traditional cultural activities — sweat lodge, smudging, beading, and dancing — alongside educational services including High School Equivalency preparation. Desert Visions accepts Medicaid and is open to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native youth.
