Community Mental Health Affiliates

Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) is a private non-profit behavioral health provider headquartered in New Britain, Connecticut, with eight locations across central Connecticut and in Waterbury. It was the state's first fully Joint Commission accredited Behavioral Health Home and is a SAMHSA-certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Its residential continuum includes a 12-bed supervised program staffed by an Intensive Assertive Community Treatment team; the 16-bed Parkview 5, which CMHA describes as one of only two programs at that level of care in the state, with an average stay of about 18 months and usually a waiting list; and a 19-bed Transitional Living Center that steps clients down from Parkview 5 with nursing cover and two respite beds. Medicare, private insurance and self-pay are accepted.
