Located in Galax, Virginia, the Life Center of Galax is a private drug & alcohol rehab center for the treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction and dual diagnosis problems. The Life Center opened in 1973 and was the first rehabilitation facility in Virginia specifically licensed and accredited to exclusively treat chemical dependency. Much of the treatment is based on the 12-step principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Farley Center is an outpatient rehab/treatment center for adults and young adults. We are based in Williamsburg, Virginia. Our focus is on residential addiction treatment. We further specialize in the provision of an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a day treatment program (PHP), medical detoxification, the treatment of co-occuring disorders, equine-assisted therapy. FIRST Recovery is the Roanoke Valley substance use program of Crescent Counseling and Casework Services, which opened its Roanoke office in May 2018 after more than a decade serving Virginia Beach and the surrounding area. It provides an intensive outpatient program alongside individual and group counseling, substance use case management and peer recovery support, and the organization also runs intensive in-home services for adolescents and young people at high risk of placement outside the family home. It is CARF-accredited. Payment can be made through Medicaid, Medicare, or private or military insurance.
