LifePath Systems is Collin County's community behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability authority, working from Heritage Drive in McKinney. It provides outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use treatment for adults and young people alongside crisis services, early childhood intervention, veterans' services and IDD supports. It works with Medicaid — including the YES Waiver, which covers children and young people aged 3 to 18 with serious mental, emotional and behavioral difficulties — as well as many insurers and state funding agencies, and it contracts with local psychiatric facilities so that people on low incomes and without insurance can still be admitted. Medicare, military insurance and self-pay are also accepted.

BasePoint Academy is a teen and adolescent mental health treatment provider in the Dallas area, and McKinney at 4733 Medical Center Drive is one of the centers listed on its locations page alongside Forney and Frisco. The program runs day treatment and intensive outpatient levels for adolescents, with a faith-based teen treatment track available and a separate young adult program for ages 18 to 35, and treats co-occurring substance use alongside conditions such as anxiety, depression and ADHD. Chasing Harmony Recovery Center is a division of Life Intensity Counseling Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, providing intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment for teens and young adults in Frisco, Texas, with a virtual intensive outpatient option. It is an explicitly Christian clinic — it describes itself as one of the few outpatient Christian mental health clinics in the country that is fully licensed, nationally accredited and medically led, offering evidence-based psychiatric care rooted in biblical truth — which is worth knowing before enrolling. Dual diagnosis is treated as standard, with individual therapy, group therapy, medical oversight and skill-building. Medicaid, The program takes Medicare, private insurance and military insurance.
