St. Joseph Institute for Addiction

Our program treats the whole person – body, mind, emotions and spirit. Located between Altoona and State College in central Pennsylvania, we are an easy drive from Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, less than 3 hours from Washington and Baltimore, and under 4 hours from Philadelphia, Cleveland and Buffalo.

Our professional staff is experienced with a wide range of co-occurring conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and chronic pain.

The Wellness team offers a personalized program for each resident that may include bodywork, nutritional balancing to promote wellness and reduce cravings, therapies for pain, private counseling, fitness programming and spiritual direction.

Above all, we treat every person with dignity and compassion, as we work together to achieve wellness and freedom from addiction.
