The SKILLS New Roads taught me have guided me to the beautiful LIFE I live TODAY. I am so GRATEFUL for this place and the sincere, compassionate people that run it up and keep it 💯 ! I came from out of state to the New Roads rtc, never having heard of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I was skeptical and full of doubt - in myself and the program. I am taken back by how powerful the DBT skills are, teaching me about a life WORTH living. Mad shoutouts to Jason, Bradley, Josh, Emily, Matt, Dave and my dearest Tracie. TRUST, recovery ❤️‍🩹 isn’t easy and we all have moments of ineffectiveness and struggles. If you can remember to be sincere, non-judgmental and one-MINDFUL, you are well on your way. I am WORTHY, and if you are a client, know that you are too. RECOVERY is a JOURNEY, not a destination. Whether you are black, white, grey, ANY and EVERY COLOR in between, human, alien, gay, straight, transgender or cis - you are WELCOME here. I’ve never been around so many people that VALIDATE, LOVE and ACCEPT me - no matter what! My COMMUNITY of PEERS offered me SUPPORT I’ve never known before. I used to think IV drug addiction and untreated mental health would run my life forever. New Roads Behavioral Health is a catalyst that helped me save my life! I am so BLESSED to have had the privilege of being a client 🙏🙌 I’m coming up on 7 months clean and sober from all drugs and self-harm Just for today, I will be unafraid… Dear FAMILY, may you have loving kindness - Sam Simeonov
