Care is provided through VA benefits, and same-day help is available even without prior enrollment; the Veterans Crisis Line is reachable at any hour. Getting there is addressed too, which for a veteran in outpatient treatment is often the deciding factor: Veteran Transportation Services, DAV vans, the RTC Veterans Medical Transportation Network for senior and disabled veterans — which carries veterans traveling with oxygen, service animals or wheelchairs — and a reduced-fare RTC card for local veterans.
