Clarity House Chicago

At Clarity House Chicago, a typical resident's day looks largely like it would if they were living on their own - at work, school, volunteering, spending time with friends and family, and building a recovery program by attending recovery meetings and working with a sponsor. Residents are breathalyzed daily and drug tested at least once per week. Curfew for the first 30 days is 11pm, all week. After the first 30 days, curfew is: Sunday-Thursday: Midnight, Friday-Saturday: 2am. Residents can leave the house as early as 5am. We make exceptions to curfew for work, so you don't have to change your work schedule to live at Clarity House. After their first 30 days, residents are allowed 1 overnight pass per week, after their first 90 days, residents are allowed up to 3 nights in a row away, every other month. In the first 30 days, we require residents to attend at least 5 in-person recovery meetings every week and residents are required to get a sponsor or mentor in the recovery program of their choice. After their first 30 days, residents are required to attend at least 4 in-person meetings. Aftercare and therapy can be used towards a resident's weekly meetings. Each house has a mandatory in-house meeting once a week. All residents are required to complete a daily household chore, as well as to clean up after themselves around the house. For the rest, residents are able to build the foundation they need to acheive long-term sobriety.

Clarity House Chicago provides independent, sober living. You will receive support through accountability, with daily breathalyzing and weekly drug testing, along with a requirement to attend recovery meetings in the recovery program of your choice. At the same time, you have the freedom to spend your days at work, with friends and family, pursing your interests and goals.

It starts with a call. - Call our office at 708-879-3098 to ask any questions and complete a brief Phone Screening - We will email you (and your counselor, if you are in treatment) our Resident Handbook & Program Agreement for your review - Submit payment for your first week ($300) to hold a bed, we can hold a bed for up to 7 days - Call our office to schedule your Orientation (same day as move in), we do Orientation by appointment only, & we need at least 1 business days' notice, so make sure to call at least 1 business day ahead of your desired move-in date to schedule your Orientation - Orientation takes about 45 minutes & happens in our office on Montrose. At Orientation, you will be given a supervised drug test & breathalyzer test & both must be negative for you to move in. We will then provide you with the address for your house & all move-in information. - Move in: You are required to move in the same day as your Orientation, by 10pm.
