Adolescent Substance Abuse Program

The Adolescent Substance Abuse Program has run outpatient counseling for young people aged 12 to 18 involved with drugs and alcohol since 1991 — a single, narrow population it has not diversified away from in three decades. Its clinical lead has practiced as a licensed psychologist since 1987 and completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Boston VA Outpatient Clinic, specializing in substance use, adolescents and developmental disorders. Staff also work with Scottsdale's Juvenile Diversion and Veterans Court programs, so a court-referred family is not arriving somewhere unfamiliar with the process.
