Mountainside is a nationally acclaimed substance abuse treatment center providing individualized alcoholism and drug addiction treatment to men and women aged 18 and over. Private rooms available.

Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism (MCCA) offers medically supervised withdrawal management in Torrington, followed by coordinated step-down into residential or intensive outpatient care rather than a discharge to nothing. Outpatient services include individual, group and family therapy. Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are accepted.
