WestCare Harris Springs Ranch

This is one of our longest-running programs, providing residential substance abuse treatment. The program is a therapeutic community designed for men suffering from addictions. This model embraces the concept that behavioral change can occur though positive peer support and peer pressure. This model represents a highly structured environment with well-defined attitudinal and behavioral boundaries. Employing community responsibility, as well as earned progressive advancement of status and privileges, is part of the recovery and growth process.

WestCare Nevada is committed to providing excellent care within all of our programs and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. WestCare Nevada provides a wide spectrum of behavioral health services available to adults and families, including:

• Detoxification from drugs and alcohol
• Crisis stabilization
• Treatment for substance abuse
• Treatment for co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders
• Prevention of substance abuse
• Services for veterans
• Services for people re-entering the community after incarceration
• Specific services for pregnant and parenting women
• Family education and support

Veterans

One of WestCare's priorities, as we work to strengthen people and communities, is to reach out to and provide specialized services to veterans. We work together with community agencies that serve veterans to ensure that we are offering needed services and that we are providing the best care possible for the people who have given so much to our country. WestCare makes referrals to veteran-specific resources, such as the Veterans' Administration and U.S. Vets to ensure that every veteran we serve has a plan of care specific to his or her needs.

At WestCare Nevada our team of assessment and intake staff works together with each individual person to help determine the most appropriate course of treatment and available resources. The assessment is the initial step in the treatment placement process.
