Terrible boarding school. Do not recommend for anyone. I went there for 9 months and came out worse than ever before. They lied to my parents about my well-being to keep me there longer and just wanted money.

If you're considering sending your daughter here, please do not. the owners, Bill and Jen, say they will be a part of her program but in reality, she will only see them about 15 times over 10 months. the therapy aspect of this place is a joke and did not help me in the slightest. I was in a hospital after two months of being out (being there more than 10 months). if your daughter struggles with bipolar or BPD do not send them here, they invalidate the diagnosis and are not equipped to handle them. multiple staff members were abusive (sexually, verbally, and mentally). I say all this with a heavy heart as though providence did not help me get better I made memories there I wouldn't trade for anything.

If there is ANY parent out there whom ignores the negative reviews, like this, then God help you. I experienced first hand what this facility is all about... its a sham. Forcing students to eat certain foods, physical and mental abuse, the list is endless...sure they have posh surroundings making parents believe they are good hard working christians...not so. ANY wilderness program has to be better than wasting good money here... then with their legal issues with the chef being accused of molesting girls? really? HORRIBLE!

I left worse than when I came in. The therapist told everyone to send me home because providence was trying to keep me longer for more money and I was starting to regress because of them. I also had to allergic reactions because of them. One was because they gave me the wrong dose of medicine then didnt take me to the hospital after going into anaphylaxis. The first time was because the chef mixed my food with nuts and they still didnt want to take me to the hospitil my mother said i needed to.I had to give self the epi pen. On top of that the faith is forced not encouraged and it brainwashes you.

My husband and I spent months researching programs for our 15 year old daughter. We didn’t make our decision lightly and it came after years of her self-destruction and we tried everything we could at home. She recently graduated Providence Pass and we couldn’t be more satisfied. After 10 months, she is now glowing with self-worth, feeling good about herself, and the best part is believing she has a bright future. It was hard, change is never easy, but with the caring and encouraging staff at Providence Pass, they never gave up on her. They helped her find her authentic self, for that we will always be grateful. The family involvement was so important to us, even through the pandemic, we were involved. Providence Pass treats their students with dignity, respect and most of all you can tell they care about what they do. If you have them on your list for consideration, take a moment to visit, talk to the owners or other parents and graduate students. We are very grateful for them giving us our daughter back.
