More about Oxford House - Rock Park

Oxford House Rock Park is an ordinary rented house in New Haven, Connecticut, in New Haven County, run by the women who live in it. It has room for 9 residents.

There is no staff here and nobody is a patient. The residents hold the charter themselves, elect their own officers, and divide the rent, utilities and household bills between them, which is what keeps a week here within reach of someone just back at work. The charter comes down to three rules: run the house democratically, pay its own way, and immediately expel anyone who goes back to drinking or using. Nobody leaves on a schedule — most arrive after detox or a residential program and stay until they are ready to go.

Admissions Process

Oxford House is self-run, peer-supported recovery housing for women. There is no clinical staff on site and no walk-in admission — applicants are accepted by a vote of the current residents after an interview. Interviews are held Sun 6:00pm. Call the house on (877) 693-6734 to ask about openings and arrange an interview. The chapter contact for this house is Jerald Dana Cole — (877) 693-6734. Please phone before visiting. Current vacancies are published by Oxford House at oxfordvacancies.com.

As an alumni, I can say that Ohi was the best decision for me and my early recovery. It has been an unbreakable foundation. I still help people after25 yrs.
