About Katy Harris

I came into the world of therapy and counselling during a time of difficulty in my own life. I experienced the relief and support of counselling for myself and this opened my eyes to a potential new career direction. Embarking on counselling training, I was able to realise how much I love this work and I haven't looked back. This journey has been ultimately life changing in so many ways. It has supported me to grow both professionally and personally and continues to do so. I frequently find myself acknowledging this with gratitude, for the gift it truly seems to be.

What I do

I provide one to one face to face counselling in a professional organisation for women experiencing various distress including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic abuse..

I also provide Skype video online counselling and telephone counselling for:

Relationship issues
anxiety
depression
bi-polar
disorder/manic depression
generalised anxiety
family issues
separation and divorce
affairs and betrayal
bereavement
abuse
cross-cultural relationships
low self-esteem
sexual abuse
low self-confidence
emotional abuse
stress
work related stress
physical abuse
sexuality
spirituality

I have a person-centred approach, whilst also drawing from other training and influence. This allows me to work with you, at your pace and adapt to your individual needs.

When we meet, I will tune into how things are for you with understanding and respect; I have faith in the resources and the strength you already have within and see it as my job to facilitate these qualities. Sometimes we lose touch with our own resources, through life experiences, but they are always there.

I will help you look at your difficulties within a safe, professional relationship without judgement. Being listened to in this way can often really help and may bring you to a clearer understanding of yourself; to your own answers or to improved self-esteem.
