About treatment in Massachusetts
There are a wide range of treatment options available within the state, and although many private facilities offer very high quality care at a high price; for those without insurance or without the means to self finance a stay at an expensive rehab, there are also a number of free or very affordable drug and alcohol rehabs available.
Massachusetts supports some parity legislation, but not much, and insurance companies may not be required to offer significant funding for your substance abuse treatment needs. Whatever your situation, and whatever your budget though, there is a treatment program that you can afford.
The state does fund some drug and alcohol treatment for the uninsured and you may qualify for this funding even if you do not qualify for Medicaid. Additionally, several charity rehabs offer services at a price that all in society can afford. If you have a drug or alcohol problem, you can get help.
