Price Outpatient Rehabs

Life Balance Recovery's Price clinic provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use alongside co-occurring mental health conditions, serving Carbon County in eastern Utah. It is one of three Life Balance sites in the state, with the others in Spanish Fork and Mona; the organization opened its first clinic in 2016. Assessment is free and sets the level of care, and the clinical team includes a practitioner certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma work, plus prescribers with detox and addiction-nursing backgrounds. Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are accepted, and clients paying cash are charged on a sliding scale.

The Price Clinic is part of Carbon Medical Service, which began in 1952 in a small clinic beside the Kaiser Permanente hospital in Dragerton and in 1992 became one of Utah's first Federally Qualified Health Centers. It provides outpatient and intensive outpatient care including medication-assisted treatment, combining medication with counseling and behavioral therapy, alongside primary care — so addiction treatment and general health care happen in the same place. Carbon Medical notes that many people in the area are uninsured or underinsured, and runs a sliding fee scale so care does not depend on income. Medicaid, Medicare, private and military insurance and state funding are all taken.
